Birkbeck and Co Drama was founded by Heather Birkbeck who is Head of Drama at a Performing Arts School in Swindon. Heather has been teaching Drama in the UK and Europe for over 30 years.

"Throughout my career I have been directing and performing. I have a love of theatre and one of my key aims is to inspire young people to develop their creative talent."

Heather is delighted that students who have studied with her have gone on to gain places at the most prestigious Drama schools in Britain such as LAMDA, RADA, Bristol Old Vic and East 15.

Heather is keen to develop confidence and imagination in others. Lamda exams are a great way to build on your ability to communicate and are open to everyone regardless of age.

Heather studied Drama at the University of Kent at Canterbury and went on to do her PGCE in Drama at Nottingham University. She has mentored other Drama teachers and has run workshops in Drama teaching for both non-specialist and specialist Drama teachers.

Heather has an enhanced DBS and is first aid trained.
